Privacy policy

Your cards stay with you.

This policy explains how the OneCard mobile app for iPhone and Android handles information. OneCard is a loyalty card wallet that works entirely on your device.

In short: OneCard does not collect, transmit, sell, or share your personal data. It has no account, no server, no advertising, no analytics, and no tracking. Your cards never leave your device.

Who we are

OneCard is developed and published by Oskar Gierszewski X-DEV, based in Poland (“we”, “us”). You can contact us about privacy at hi@onecard.x-dev.app.

Information stored on your device

When you add a card, OneCard saves the details you enter or scan: the store name, the card number or code, the code type and barcode format, the card colors, and whether the card is a favorite. This information is stored only in OneCard’s private storage on your device. We have no way to access it.

The list of stores you can pick from is built into the app. Choosing a store does not send anything over the internet.

Information we collect

None. OneCard does not make network requests, has no user accounts, and does not include analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or tracking software. We do not sell or share data with anyone, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

Camera

OneCard asks for camera access only when you choose to scan a barcode or QR code. The camera image is processed on your device to read the code and is never recorded, saved, or sent anywhere. Only the decoded code is kept, and only if you save the card. You can refuse camera access and type the code in manually instead. You can change this permission at any time in your device settings.

Clipboard

OneCard copies a card number to your clipboard only when you tap it to copy. After that, the clipboard is managed by your device’s operating system, which may make it available to other apps or to your other devices through clipboard sync.

Screen brightness

When you present a card for scanning, OneCard turns the screen brightness up to full so checkout scanners can read the code, and puts it back to the previous level when you finish. On iPhone this changes the device’s screen brightness, so if the app is closed unexpectedly while a card is being presented, you may need to lower the brightness yourself.

Backups and changing devices

Your cards are not included in iCloud or Google device backups and are not synced between devices. If you delete the app, reset your device, or switch to a new phone, your saved cards will not be restored, so keep your physical cards or card numbers until you have added them again.

Keeping and deleting your data

Your cards stay on your device until you delete them. You can delete a single card from its detail screen, delete every card with Settings → Delete all cards on this device, or delete the app, which removes all of its data. Because we never receive your card data, we have nothing to delete on our side.

App stores and diagnostics

OneCard is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Apple and Google process information about your download and use of their stores under their own privacy policies. If you have chosen to share diagnostics with app developers in your device settings, Apple or Google may give us anonymous crash reports and aggregate statistics, such as the number of installs. These do not include your cards or identify you personally.

When you contact us

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use this only to reply to you, and we delete it once your request has been handled unless we need to keep it to meet a legal obligation. Please don’t send card numbers or pictures of scannable codes.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, data protection laws such as the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) give you rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of personal data about you, and to object to its use. The only personal data we may hold is the correspondence described above. To exercise any of these rights, email hi@onecard.x-dev.app. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. In Poland, this is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych, UODO).

Children

OneCard is not directed at children. It does not collect personal data from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will publish the updated version on this page and change the date below. If a future version of OneCard handles data differently, we will update this policy before that version is released.
